Does the Alarm have the known sleep/not going off issue?

Has anyone used the alarm to wake up yet? I know on previous WinMo phones, particulary the Mogul/6800 that if you had the power saving settings to put the phone to sleep, then the alarm would not wake the phone and it wouldnt go off until you woke the phone up.

Has anyone tried the alarm on the Diamond, while its asleep?

I don't know because I have used Mortplayer for the last year or so for an alarm clock. Check it out, it is free

I have not done power saving settings, but it did wake me up fine this morning. Unlike my touch which never woke up or sounded an alarm.

Same here. I've had no problem the last couple mornings with the phone waking me up. And unlike the Mogul, there are a decent number of "alarm"-type sounds you can set it too.

Re: Does the Alarm have the known sleep/not going off issue?

I dont have my Sprint D yet since UPS sucks but with a Touch Pro (GSM) I had until yesterday (sold eBay) I could turn off the phone completely and somehow it would still turn on to sound alarm. I never had seen that before. I assumed you could put in flight mode but this worked turned off.

btw I used an awesome alarm ap called Klaxon that will snooze when you flip the phone face down. It will play any mp3. Get it free over at xda developers.

Re: Does the Alarm have the known sleep/not going off issue?

Yeah, I just saw Klaxon yesterday and was tempted, but I like the fact that my alarm sound (Metallica Unforgiven III) in Mortplayer starts at 0% volume and slowly ascends to a max volume of 80%. I personally hate alarms that "startle" me awake, and I did not see anything about ascending sounds in Klaxon on the site. Can you confirm whether it does or not?
