Lag on incoming SMS/calls?

I know that the original Touch had this brief lag when receiving incoming messages/calls. The device/screen would wake up, look pretty for a second, and then show you your text or phone call or what have you.

Does the Diamond do this, as well?

they all do it. the device has to wake up before it can run an alert.

Re: Lag on incoming SMS/calls?

So the Diamond does the same then? I understand, but that little second or so bothers me. Then again, if it's that or menu lag on my V9M... yeah, easy choice there.

I think there are edits to the reg and internal settings of the phones in which you could speed those up a bit. I can't point you to them ATM but a search should bring up a few results.. Check SCL setting for one..

I also removed the "skin" off my phone dialer and it is that bit ever so slightly snappier..
