Free memory with Diamond (on Sprint)

Ok all you braggarts

Anyone care to share how much (program) memory you have free out of the box on these? As a Mogul user I ask out of pure masochistic curiosity Plus I'm planning on (eventually) migrating to the touch pro.

Re: Free memory with Diamond (on Sprint)

It's kinda funny that no 1 is responding. They are probably saying, "why do you care about that"? They don't know the pain of being "ramless". (unless they were former mogul users).

Nobody's responding because not many (if any) have their Sprint Diamond's yet. I'm not running the stock Telus ROM anymore, or I'd throw out my numbers.

Re: Free memory with Diamond (on Sprint)

Mine isn't exactly (out of the box) but only a few apps installed (Google Maps, Slingbox) and after about 12 hours after a soft rest I'm at 31.61 MB Storage free and 112.69 MB Program free.

BTW Opera seems to eat up the program memory QUICK if you don't close it when you are done using it.

If the Diamond comes with 192MB RAM, how can it already be down to 31.61MB free? I know the OS takes up some RAM and any running programs as well, but my Mogul only has 64MB RAM, yet, with the OS (WinMo 6.1) and maybe one other program running I have around 19MB memory left... paltry, true, but by comparison, shouldn't the Diamond have considerable more left over? Unless Diamond has a great deal more native stuff running to make it look slick... Just seems pretty disproportionate to me.

You are confusing Storage and Program free.

The RAM available from that example is the 112MB. Storage memory is the ROM. I would assume that Storage memory does not include the 4GB.

That is disappointing to me also. My 6700 with no programs installed shows 37.95MB Free Storage memory. Not much different & I was expecting a big jump from the 6700 to the Diamond.
