Diamond lost RAM

Ok, so I decided to SuperCID my device and install Cmonex HSPL 0.43 (because I was going to SuperCID the device...duhhhh)....In any case, I have experience with HTC phones as I had a TyTN before and did alot of flashing, upgrading radios, hardSPL, SuperCID, yada yada yada....this time around, my Telus Diamond began reporting 160mgs RAM instead of 256.

What do you think happened? Something I did?

In any case, I returned to the store and explained the situation, minus the flashing and such, and they would order me a new one since Telus had never heard of the problem.

Re: Diamond lost RAM

Yea, Ive already spoken with the poeple at the Telus store and they are ordering a new one for me...but apparently it takes 3-5 business days.

I had to disable TF3D as well as not use TomTom and all other bonuses cause its tooo bloody slow..

Re: Diamond lost RAM

i wonder how the hell this happened? you have a 256MB chip and a 32MB chip in this phone for ram. 32 goes to video. how can only part of the ram in one physically chip fail?

it has to be a software issue.

Re: Diamond lost RAM

I havent the slightest clue...Iwont have time to relock, unSuperCID and restore the stock SPL until later this week to see if it undoes anything...

How would one go about disabling RAM through software without knowing? I followed the MTTY commands as per the instructions, and unless the flash went bad or something, I wouldnt have any clue how it happened, but I'm missing exactly 128 MB of RAM..

Re: Diamond lost RAM

Very strange indeed. My guess is that you do have 256 but you phones software is reporting it wrong. I would exchange it.
