Airplane mode isn't really working

Hi there, I'm new to the forum, got referred here from HoFo.

Got a question regarding Airplane Mode in Comm Manager.

Sometimes when I try to enable Airplane Mode, the phone thinks for awhile and then Airplane Mode is not enabled. If I then disable Data Connection or Phone Connection, then Airplane Mode is enabled. Kinda defeats the purpose of shutting down all your connections by just enabling Airplane Mode doesn't it?

I've tried doing this in locations where I have reception, and areas where I don't, and they both behave the same way. Anyone know what the problem is?

Mine works for me, i am not using the telus rom, but a custom one. Call telus and report this bug if it still continues after a hard reset.

i dont recall having this issue on the telus rom though

Thanks. I think I'll try that Juicy rom first. I'm kinda nervous about it (it's my first time!), but I think the instructions are quite detailed. I'll let you know if there's still a problem after the rom install.

I must report that I successfully installed the Juicy rom with no problems. This is very exciting.

The Airport Mode is still not working very well. It takes forever (around 30 seconds) to turn off Data Connection.

did you do a hard reset after the flash?
