Verizon/Sprint Touch Diamond and Touch Pro

Saw this site in a HowardForums post (http://www.howardforums.com/showpost...postcount=1064)

http://www.phonearena.com/htmls/More...le-a_3021.html

Glad I'm not a Verizon customer! Telus (my provider) looks to be based off the Sprint model, as they list the 4GB of memory (and I've seen the 256/256 memory config listed in other articles). Unless, of course, they've got some custom version going... No mention on any of the models of the FM radio that the GSM versions have, though.

Im glad i left VZW. Although I miss the service and all my friends have it, but the PDA phones users are always jipped.

Re: Verizon/Sprint Touch Diamond and Touch Pro

I don't know if that information could possibly be true - Verizon users wouldn't even be able to make use of TouchFlo 3D on the crippled 7500 chipset. I *HIGHLY* doubt that Qualcomm or HTC paid the royalties required to fix that chip, which is exactly why the 7500A and 7201A came out...

BTW nothing is wrong with the current chips. Over at XDA they ripped the drivers off of the Diamond and got it working on the Kaiser. So they got direct 3d working very well on the 7200 chipset.

The GSM diamond doesnt have a microSD card slot either. Its strange (moreso with only 4GB internal and not 8-16GB) but the VZW being listed as having the slot is MORE strange.

Remember, the diamond is an extremely small phone, its volume limited as to how much they stuff in there (the increased RAM on the CDMA diamond I expect is a denser chip, not 2 chips, probably 2 chips for ROM, the raph has a lot more volume available with the keyboard compartment).

Re: Verizon/Sprint Touch Diamond and Touch Pro

idk, i call shenanigans on all these little differences between the sprint/vzw version. it just doesnt make sense. the mogul/xv6800 didnt have crazy differences between each other. so why would their diamonds have em'?
