Yup. It's exactly like the TP2 just VGA and lack of keyboard.

Re: Htc Diamond Android Help

Is there a tutorial somewhere regarding de-partitioning the internal storage card? There are several threads over at xda-developers regarding installation of the android rom but nothing specifically about whether de-partitioning is necessary or how to do it.

Re: Htc Diamond Android Help

I think you could just go to the Hard Reset option in the settings part of WM and just choose the IS only and that might get it.

Backup the SD card or internal storage of your phone elsewhere before you try this.

Download latest version of Ubuntu desktop. Burn the ISO onto a CD and boot your computer with it. (Don't worry, Ubuntu let's you try it without installing itself permanently)

Once your computer is loaded into Ubuntu, connect your phone via USB cable to the computer and open GParted.

BE CAREFUL WITH GPARTED!!! MAKE SURE YOU SELECT THE INTERNAL STORAGE DRIVE OF YOUR PHONE, NOT YOUR COMPUTER'S HDD, BEFORE YOU MAKE ANY CHANGES!!!!

Select your phone's internal storage or SD card from dropdown menu in GParted, delete any existing partitions and save the changes. Now create a new primary partition, not extended partition, using FAT32. Save the changes again.

Reboot your phone in WinMo, copy the Android install cab onto the internal storage and install Android.

That worked for me. I'm using an HTC Touch Diamond aka Diam500 on Sprint.

Hope this helps
