No Sound From HTC Touch Diamond

My HTC Touch Diamond stopped outputting any sound this afternoon....no, rings, no music, no feedback sounds, nada. I Googled the problem and found references to the Touch audio failing after disconnecting from a BT connection. The fix was a soft reset. This is what happened to me....was connected via BT to my car for hand-free use. And the soft reset did indeed fix the issue.

Has anyone else had this issue, is it in fact associated with BT useage, and is there any sort of permenant fix other than a soft reset (which is fine if you know you have the problem, but most times you won't know, you'll just miss calls)?

Yes, I have this problem. I have not found a fix. I work around it by soft resetting.

I have run mulitple custom roms and never run into this issue. I use BT in my car, and a BT headseat for calls when mobile, and never had a problem with losing audio. I am currently running the latest OMJ rom and just used BT this morning and have no problems... try OMJ's rom

I am running Mighty 3.9, but I don't think this is a ROM issue. Other stock ROM users are reporting the same thing:

Not sure if there is a fix, just curious what the uers here have experienced.

Mi diamond is just a week with no sound at all....try to do a soft reset, hard reset and it was with a original rom from t-mobile uk, try with different rom 6.1 and 6.5 but no any result still no sound..........it works only if I put headset on.

any help......pleaseeee............

You probably got a bad phone and need to flash shipped then relock and take it back.

i know this is the wrong thread but i have a TP2 and the microphone went out as when i call someone they can not hear me but i can here them even if i put it on speaker can someone help me as i had it stock it's two weeks old if that and i flashed to the BLK10.1 BHars rom and the it was good but then i flashed the newest update 11 and it started vibrating when someone calls but not your regular vibrating where it pulses with the ring! it vibrates the whole time someone is calling not stop no breaks so i HR 3 times and no go and now lastnight i noticed the mouth piece ( microphone ) and speaker do not work i can hear you ( the other caller ) but no go on you hearing me ??? someone please help thanks and sorry just could'nt find my issue in the search feature Hulk!
