They are almost exclusively for GSM phones (as opposed to this site that is almost exclusively for CDMA phone).
Sorry to venture this topic to the side a bit, but, "really?". So those are the only two ways to completely brick a diamond? That makes me feel a whole lot better. Flashing firmware used to be a "no sweat" situation for me, until I bricked an Omnia by flashing firmware over USB 1 instead of USB 2 - who would've known such a ridiculous requirement was included?

But, just to confirm, not matter what happens, a Diamond is not bricked unless you unlock it wrong (mine is already unlocked right), or flash a wrong radio to it? That is good to know. Not that mine is bricked right now, but in the future if I use different ROMs.

Yes, from what I've read. I haven't bothered to test too much though .

Well, also if you try to flash a GSM rom to a CDMA device or vise-aversa you will probably brick your device.

You will only brick if you flash a CDMA/GSM ROM containing a radio (ie shipped/test ROM from HTC) to the wrong device. You can flash GSM roms without a radio to a cdma phone all day long...just don't expect it to boot (recoverable via bootloader and flashing a proper ROM for the device).
