any way to disable screen turning on when receiving txts?
 

Hi, does anyone know how to disable the screen from turning on when receiving a text? an audible notification is just fine. i'm finding that my battery dies super fast because when receiving a text, the screen turns on and because its touchscreen, it never turns back off due to timeout :scratch:

i'm using S2U2 with the GTX rom on my touch diamond. thanks in advance!

I don't think you can keep the screen from turning on completely but you can certainly change the amount of time it stays on. You can change this in your devices backlight/power settings. Set it to turn off after say 10 seconds. S2U2 could be overrideing your power/backlight settings so check that and see if you can set it differently. S2U2 itself could be draining your battery.
Also, in sounds and notifications uncheck the box that says show message on screen for your text message notification.

I saw from using my phone alot I can't recall the menu its in but I think its called wake on sms and you can turn it off or on
