Alltel-Assurion upgrade time...
 

My daughter lost her Diamond, or it was stolen. Assurion is out of Diamonds, so they are sending me a TP for her. Alltel doesn't have the TP2 at all, nor will they in the short time they have left as a company, so I'm thinking that's why everyone else was getting upgraded to the TP2. So they would have a bank of them for Alltel customers that can't "officially" use the TP2.

Well, either way I'm going from a TP and a Diamond to 2 TPs.

So, if you are on Alltel, have a Diamond that's on the edge, and can spare the 95 bucks for the insurance claim, you just might get a Touch Pro...

Nice to know. If my contract wasn't up in a few short months I would probably look more into this.

My next upgrade is in October, and I'm pretty sure sometime around then both of the TP's are gonna have something bad happen to them...

Always nice to have a brand spankin' new backup as a spare after you upgrade... :rolleyes:

Just a little extra FYI. The Touch Pro that shipped to replace my Diamond was indeed a RAPH800, not the gimped Verizon one. Knowing that most Alltel is now Verizon (just not me, yet) I was a bit skeptical. If the gimped version had shown up at my door, all hell woulda broke loose. :)
