How many you have gone Android and came back to Windows Mobile?

So I am torn on which device to get.. The Hero or the Pro2

I want to know how many of you have gone Android and then came back to WinMo and the reasons why you came back.

My boss is offering me a free phone and I want to be certain that I will be happy with it cause I only have one shot at this.

Lemme know your thoughts on this subject please. Thanks guys

MyTouch3G is a bad phone :P

I'm assuming you made this thread because of yearn's post, my reply:

Quote:
No offense yearn, but:

Tethering is free with Android via Wired Tether for Root Users, Wireless Tether for Root Users or PDANET for those who aren't root or just prefer to use a real app.

My Hero gets the same reception as my Diamond, and GPS is always perfect within 20m or so.

With root which I'm assuming you didn't have before, all of what you just mentioned is possible:

Flashing themes, new kernels, new ROMs, lockscreens, different OS versions.

I flash from 1.5 w/ sense to 1.6 w/ Nexus One to 2.0 with vanilla android ALL the time.

We just got source code this past week and it's opening a lot of new possibilities at least on the hero side.
I love my Hero. I've been having to use my Diamond to prepare it for sale to a coworker so I've been having to flash custom ROMs to verify stuff was working and what not, and ugh, it's like nails on a chalkboard.

Not to mention flashing a ROM on Hero = doesn't erase ANY personal data.

Yea I would go with the hero and if you dnt lik it just sell it and buy the phone you want off eBay. The hero has the highest resale value on ebay even over the tp2. GL

I'm thinking about it. Premier has no bugs whatsoever that I've ever come across but I was hoping maybe to put Sense 2.1 at least on it.

Is there a cab available for it?

I believe there is a cab available for it developed by kimi_sae_ireba at XDA. I am not sure of the link but can see if I can find it.

Never mind I believe it is here.

Re: How many you have gone Android and came back to Windows Mobile?

leave android to go back to crapmo?! Lololol night and day difference between the two. just rooted and flashed my hero to fresh and oh man its fresh alright. if you haven't heard, Google is announcing android 3.0 by November. why not switch over to something that's advancing in tech than stay with stale winmo?

Did you really need to start another thread about this?
Geez! Just make a choice and if you don't like it return it within the 30 days or whatever they give you! There is no need to start multiple threads asking the same WinMo vs Android debate!

It's not even the same question! One was about two different phones and the other is about two different OS's! If ya don't like it don't read it. And it's jeez not geez
