Totally new to this

This may be obvious to some... I just got a diamond, and I was wondering when I reflash it with a new ROM do I need to reprogram the phone (phone number, provider numbers, etc)?:(

My biggest fear was "What if I hose it".

THe HardSPL point was my most nerve wracking, only because it was new. After that and you've committed yourself, it gets alot easier.

Since them, I've flashed well over a dozen times (since after Christmas).

1. Be sure to READ READ READ! Make sure you're using the correct unlocker for your phone.
2. Depending on the ROM, you may need to install a Carrier Cab so that everything works. Until you be come more familiar with the ins/outs of flashing, I would strongly suggest using a ROM that supports your carrier.
3. Remember the golden order of flashing once you're unlocked:
-Flash Stock ROM
-Hard Reset
-Flash Custom ROM
-Hard Reset
-Enjoy!

So I'm thinking about mighty rom 6... any opinions out there? I'm going for stability and battery life.

Mighty Mike makes a helluva a ROM. If nothing else, it'll be a great place to start flashing. MightyROM was the first ROM I ever flashed during my Touch Pro days.

Depending on whether or not you are into TFlo3d also look into:

EnergyROM
OMJ's Sense ROM
Mr Obvious ROM

His roms are amazing but remember, no rom runs like stock rom. So if you have no patience like me be careful on which ones you choose! :)

My ROM is good if you just want stability. But honestly it'll be hard to keep a ROM going with a new phone hehe.

What do you mean by "it'll be hard to keep a ROM going with a new phone"?
