Weird Problem With My Diamond
 

No matter what rom I load, within 12-24 hours my diamond starts to shit the bed.

Sometimes the screen stops responding at all, or its like i'm pressing on the wrong spot on the screen.

I tired energy, mystery, omj and factory telus roms.

does anybody have any solution for this?

Try flashing back to the Telus "shipped" rom, and then flash the custom rom of your choice. I also do a hard reset (clear storage) after flashing and before setting up my phone.

Try it with the shipped ROM and if it don't work then get a warranty replacement.

i had the same problem the phone has to be reconfigured.. so you have to go to nearest repair shop to get it recalibrated.. or something like that.. don't know what they did but they fixed mine.. goodluck!

i'm using sprint so it was easy for me...

The screen is now no longer responsive. I loaded the shipped rom, but cannot get passed the "press here" startup screen.
Warranty expired last month.

I did a really quick search beware there is 3 different models of the diamond the verizon one is different. then there is a gsm version (at&t, t-mobile, rogers etc) and then the one sprint,telus,bell uses. and this e-bay listing the pics of the screen say t-mobile so try to find it somewhere else maybe. I have mixed feelings about e-bay myself but at least now I will remember its called a digitizer. ((edit first link before editingshowed for a diff diamond model than you likely have with telus.

Rut roh. See if you can buy an extended warranty. It should be like $2 a month.

hey guys, thanks for all the help.

I fixed the problem.
All I had to do was replace the diamond with a touch pro 2. Works great now:)

ahh, it was time for me to gift myself an xmas present anyway.
