If you're asking about system builds ... I use 21055. I've built many roms from this base ... my favorite is with manila 2.1 along with "sense like" clock and icons. Quite stable, good battery life (although this depends on your personal apps), and plays well with most applications and programs. Even works well with manila 2.5, cooked in OMJ's kitchen.

Edit: Just re-read your question ... if you're wondering about custom roms ... Leylomo posted a great 6.1 which he called TruXt. I think it's still available, although a page or two back in the Diamond upgrade forum. Here's a link ...

Re: What is the best WM 6.1 Rom?

Wow, stable and fast ... but no other criteria? Do you want Manila? Which version? How about the new Sense ui enhancements?

I'm not trying to sound critical of your question, but if speed is your primary goal, then you would ditch the ui overhead associated with Manila, etc, and in the process, gain back the associated storage space.

Is that your goal?

Best regards,
-boggsie

Hope I don't come across as promoting ROMs I have cooked, because frankly, I published these knowing that 99.5% of people would have absolutely no interest.

Which version of Manila? Hehe. If you just want the plain Manila just download MightyROM 4 and change the Pageppol to something like 25MB.

Re: What is the best WM 6.1 Rom?

I just did that with intx premier rom (changed the page pool to 24 or higher) its in the roms section here. It works good it doesn't have office and no opera installed runs fine with opera 10 installed yourself and its nice if you use office to install it to internal it saves a lot of space.

It has about 100 mb free when the rom is loaded which leaves good space to do what you want. These new pretty roms are leaving me with like 30-50 mb free which I think is cutting it too close.
