Problems Syncing with Windows Mobile Device Center and Vista

I am SO sick of Vista! I have my 6700 set to sync contacts, calendar, tasks, notes and favorites. It doesn't sync the favorites or notes for some reason. I just get an error message. I tried removing my partnership and re-creating it, I even hard reset my phone and it still won't sync favorites or notes. I have a whole bunch of favorites and I don't want to put them in manually. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Thanks for your help!

I agree on what version because not even the LATEST version of AS is said to *work* with Vista. Now granted there may be some things that work but I thought everyone knew (At least by now) that there are still SO MANY 3rd party hardware and software issues with Vista. These compatabilty issues are nothing new and were made public when Vista was released. How many people remember the outcry about iPods not synching with Vista? This is why on my desktop I still have XP Pro as my OS even though I have Vista Ultimate on my laptops. My desktop will not be going to Vista any time soon.

As for how to resolve your issue.....we.....manually looks to be your best option but even then.....will that mean there will be data synching between the OS and the PPC? Not neccessarily.

Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5

Microsoft® Outlook® XP, Microsoft® Outlook® 2003 or Microsoft Outlook 2007® messaging and collaboration clients required for synchronization to the desktop or portable computer of e-mail, calendar, contacts, tasks, and notes. (Outlook 2007 is recommended)

For those of you that have Vista and have problems running software or applications. If you can afford it or know how to get it, run VMware (not free trial available)/ Virtual PC (free) on your desktop or laptop.
This way you can run XP as the guest or the other way around.
I am running XP guest on a Vista host and I have to say I am getting the best of both worlds.
You can actually copy and paste files between host and guest or drag and drop.
You can set the internet to be actually natted or bridged between guest and host. (nat is using the same IP as the host while bridged is separate IP)

With the configurations that computers are being shipped with, you will have enough memory or hard drive space for your configuration.
Plus this will help when you finally decide to migrate completely to the next OS.

Just my $0.02

Any luck resolving this issue dbarrett?
I have Vista Ultimate 32bit and I have had very very few problems with WMDC and/or syncing the 6700, but I do know alot about Vista, and if you can give me a little more detail about the problem you are having and the solutions you have tried I can help.
