Verizon Services On Sprint Phone?????

ok i have a mogul 6800 from sprint i bought this phone brand new for 100 bucks , im tryn to get some info to see if i can use it on verizon network...i wan gong to flash the phone with a verizon rom but it will still have the same ESN number...

it will still have the same ESN although there are mixes answers on if you can use it with another CDMA carrier and whether or not they will accept the ESN. My opinion is no.

Flash it with an OEM Verizon ROM and try. Verizon doesn't do the ESN block thing like Sprint, so it should work.

Although I just remembered you will need to have your MSL or you can't do the programming.

The "MSL" is the code you need to enter the programming section of the phone...

Example on the phone pad is you dial ##778# you will see "view/edit/cancel" if you have the code you can then edit.

"GetSPC"....all you need to do is enter the ESN and it will shoot out your MSL Code for Sprint.

Just d/l xfer to phone and run the exe.
and for some reason if the code does not work, just call Sprint and tell them you need the MSL cause you are switching to Verizon and need to program.

For people on Verizon the code is 000000

supposedly verizon has new policy where they'll activate ESN's from other carriers - but of course they won't offer any tech support for the device. (but hey - we got ppcgeeks which is 1000 times better than the idiots at the call centers for these carriers..ha)
I actually have 5 vx6700's - if anyone wants a verizon one instead of a sprint one I have no problem trading if it will help someone out.
