Exclamation Sync Issues with Helmi's WM6

When I was using the default OS for my 6700 (alltel) I will sync with my XP system Activesync 4.5 Office 2003, and my Laptop Vista and WMDC, Office 2007 both synced fine.
I was able to tell the device to just since to the local computer all was well. Now with the WM6, I can't sync to the Laptop with Vista, It errors when trying to sync with the contacts or calendar or any part of Outlook 2007. It syns with the files and Favorite fine.

Anyone else seeing this ? As I spend most of the time on the laptop, I'd like to be able to sync with it again.

Thanks
Dave

You probably have to delete the old profiles in active sync.. I had the issue because there were too many profiles once I deleted the old ones, sync was no problem..

I had the same problem with an XP machine - when I upgraded from Helmi's basic WM6 to the kitchen. I searched under the error code you get when you probe activesync on your PC - I forget the number.

The solution I got online was to remove the profiles from phone and PC. If syncing then doesn't work, you have to remove the profiles and then uninstall outlook from the PC. I had to do this, and was sure I was going to lose my contacts. However, when I reinstalled - the contacts were still there.

That fixed the problem for me, but I've read that in some cases, you have to reinstall activesync 4.5 as well.

Based on personal experience, the easiest way to avoid activesync issues is to delete the device profile in activesync each time you flash, and particularly with the new WM6 kitchen. The changes made by the kitchen/OEMs to the device affect the activesync profile on the device end and the stored profile on the PC will differ and cause errors and possible data loss. The last 6 builds I have done with the new kitchen on my XP PC with Activesync 4.5 have had no connection or sync issues but I delete the profile in activesync when I unplug to put it in bootloader before running Build OS. The only issue I have run into with Activesync/WM6 is a slowdown of the 6700 during the sync cycle.

Copy this to a .reg file and run it on your PC to import the setting:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows CE Services]
"AllowLSP"=dword:00000000

That should fix it.

I found what was my problem.

After all my problems I format my PC and all work smoothy, until I installed the Exchange Tools in my PC, all my nightmares begun again.

So be aware you can not install the exchange tool with active system.
