That is the account that ActiveSync/Mobile Device Center uses when it syncs email from outlook. You should be able to go into AS or WMDC and change the settings there (content sync settings).
If all else fails, just delete the partnership between AS and the PPC (via AS) and set up the connection again, this time using outlook instead of exchange. It should be under Device Settings in AS or something to that effect. (i dont know for sure because i am using WMDC)

Thanks, but I'm not sure that's the problem. I didn't set up email sync at all on ActiveSync. I did try deleting the partnership (it was just set up as Guest) but it didn't affect the Outlook E-mail profile.
My workplace actually does have an Exchange server which is why I chose that setting in the first place, but it didn't work and I discovered it needs a VPN which I didn't want to mess with. It tries to connect to Exchange over Wifi. |

Gnat,
What happens when you go into Active Sync on the device then Menu/Options? (This is the window where you "Choose the data you want to sync:" You should be able to select the Exchange Server and delete it. |

Thanks TMB, that seemed to get rid of the automatic syncing. It blanked out the server on the Outlook E-Mail profile, but I couldn't change it to POP or IMAP.
I did make Exchange work though, I noticed it said the server name should be the same as the Outlook Web Access server so I used that and now it works fine set to Exchange. I guess the instructions at my workplace for setting up Exchange are a little out of date. |
