Downgrading XV6700 to Stock ROM

Hi Friends,

I am facing a peculiar problem with my xv6700. When i press the "power on" button to start the handset, it start without a backlight and can be seen only under a light. However it allows me to make calls but cannot hear anything. When there is an incoming call there is no ring only incoming call alert icon flashes.

However, after battrey is discharged and wen keeping it for charging it switches on and get stuck on the white screen showing Radio as "None".

Now my problem is that I am not able to upgrade or downgrade the ROM it gives either of the error messeges like "Connection Error" or "Rom not made for this device".

My current config is
ROM = WM6
Boot Loader : v1.00

Can someone help me to upgrade or downgrade so that my handset works properly.

regards

Raju

If you press and hold the Power button the backlight will come back on.

This is an issue that most people have found to be the earphone jack stuck and so the unit thinks there is still a headset connected and thus why no sounds comes from the speaker itself. Try connecting and disconnecting the headset a few times to 'release' the pins in the jack

Usually when the radio reads "NONE" it means there is a hardware failure and the radio itself has died. The radio cannot be replaced and the unit as a whole must be replaced.

Yup. If your radio says NONE in red then you're done. Time for a new machine. AS for WM6, dump it and get WM6.1, then WM6 ROM is old and buggy.

Re: Downgrading XV6700 to Stock ROM

Hi

I guess its the problem with ROM coz sometimes i get the radio while backlight is off. Tried pressing & Holding the power button but remains as it is.

I think the problem is with the ROM as the problems started occuring after i upgraded the ROM. But now it wont allow me to downgrade.

Can u guys help.

Raju
