WM 6.1 upgrade while hacked onto MetroPCS

I'm using a Sprint model Apache hacked onto MetroPCS. I'm wondering if installing the generic ROM will messup the settings for Metro, I'm technically savvy enough to get the phone flashed, just not enough to redo the settings afterward if lost.
