Apache Bootloader 411

Hi folks,

I did a search, but didn't find a thread about this specifically or maybe the info is just spread all over. I thought this thread might make a good sticky for new folks like me or dabblers that aren't too technical.

So...what is a bootloader?

Does the version of your bootloader make a difference? If so how?

Is one better than another?

I don't have the answers, but I know a lot of you out there do answering all these people's problems with their bootloader versions.

Re: Apache Bootloader 411

Bootloader mode is what you go into for ROM upgrading/Downgrading
There are diffrent versions and different partion sizes.
v1.00 for example has the biggest rom size while version v2.05 which is the lastest has a smaller rom size. Generally upgrading is not always best thing.
