Re: Trouble installing WM6 on xv6700 PPC

Version 2.02 won't help. That old WM6 was made for version 1.00 and 1.02 Please do not use that verison of WM6, it is so buggy! as it was his first release, Kitchens are not too hard to use. Here you go download these two files ftp://ppcgeeks.com/Apache/Kitchens/New/ Run the Kitchen then place the PPCGeeks OEM in Computer\C:\BuildOS Then you can use my config file attached. When you launch the program and it pops up with the windows for config file browse and select this one below. After it loads hit the play button and when its done it iwll tell you to put the phone in bootloader an plug in. Just go through the steps also uncheck USB connections in Windows Mobile Device Center. The second link in my signature has two video on flashing watch the one for WM6 if you need help. BTW, I thought I helped you before and got WM6 running on your device?

You don't download bootloaders. The 1.xx series and the 2.xx series can not be switched. What version do you have?

Re: Trouble installing WM6 on xv6700 PPC

We have told you so many times. Reverting bootloaders is totaly a waste of time. Bootloader 2.05 is supported by BuildOS and still has enough room for a good ROM.

Huh? No rom was ever made for a specific version of apache bootloader. That one is buggy, though.

The WM6 pre-made ROM will not work with bootloader 1.04 and up. I have tried. It works with 1.00 and 1.02. That kitchen has some bugs but not as many as the ROM.

It should work with 2.02. Suprised it won't work w/ 1.04...may have to look into that.
