Help! bootloader 2.0.5 problems

Is there a 6.1 kitchen I can use with 2.0.5? I've been trying to find the bootloader downgrade file, but no luck. It doesn't seem to be on the FTP anymore... I'm in urgent need..

Anyone got some help for me?

Uh, any kitchen will work with 2.05.

The bootloader reversion process w/ file links is stickied in the main apache forum.

I read that 2.0.5 doesn't work with the 6.1 roms...

Also, the file links in the sticky don't work.. at least not the one for the file on the FTP site...

Did you actually try it or are you going by hear say?

I tried the 6.1 rom I've been using for the past year or so and couldn't install it. I haven't tried building with a new kitchen because I read a post that specifically stated that the 2.0.5 bootloader doesn't work with 6.1

Re: Help! bootloader 2.0.5 problems

Well, from the posts I read, it is not that the BL won't work, it is that you are more likely to have troubles creating a small enough ROM to fit (e.g. all the "stuck" posts). BL 1.XX can accomodate a larger ROM; BL 2.XX has to be pretty small. So I guess if you don't pick anything in the kitchen you may be OK. But then I also read that WM6.1 is bigger than 5 or 6 to begin with. So am I totally off base here?? Sorry about the non-technical terms "big" and "small"...

Re: Help! bootloader 2.0.5 problems

No.

v1.00 has largest rom size
v1.02/v1.04/v2.02 have 2 megs smaller rom size
v2.04/v2.05 have smaller still (300K smaller?)
