Re: Are you having Bluetooth or WiFi issues with WM6.1?

I'm new to the whole rom cooking thing... But even using a totally clean Hemi wm6.1 build (no additional options checked/unchecked) wifi doesnt work for me. It doesnt seem to even recognize there is a router less than 10ft away. Worked fine with the stock rom just 2 days ago.

The router is setup with a WEP encryption key since I have a few older devices that dont support WPA. Doesnt see the router let alone prompt for a key when trying to connect. Disable/enabling WIFI repeatedly doesnt change anything for me either.

Re: Are you having Bluetooth or WiFi issues with WM6.1?

OK, here's one just in case anyone else is as dumb as me: I couldn't get my Apache to work with my home wifi network. No matter what kitchen I use, what messing around I do with turning the wifi off and on, whatever options I set in my ROM build...nothing. It just wouldn't work. It sees my router, I tell it the key, it tries to connect, then just goes back to available. Finally it struck me: my router's set to 802.11g-only mode. D'oh. Into the router configuration interface, set it back to mixed-mode B+G, and yup, up comes the wifi on the Apache. So...if your wifi ain't working and no other tips on this forum work...check the router's allowing 802.11b.
