ppc6700 flashed to wm6 msl problem
Hi, I just got a 6700 and upgraded it to wm6. I am tring to use it on cricket. My MSL# was 141900 before I did the upgrade. Now when I ##141900# I get no responce. I have Tried 000000 and 333333 but no responce. I think the phone was a Sprint flashed to cricket. I gave the ESN to cricket and got the phone working but when I try *228 they cant program it, I had to put the MSID in my self and skip the *228. I hope I am posting this in the correct place.
P.S. I used the getspc and it still showes my MSL as 141900. I have tried the putty terminal and could not get it to work. Any help would be GREAT! Thanks. |
Re: ppc6700 flashed to wm6 msl problem
alot of people when they upgrade to wm6/6.1 are unable to activate/program or run to problems, you need to downgrade to WM5 activate/program then upgrade all you want.
That is why you always want to activate with the "official rom wm5" to avoid problems such as yours. |

Re: ppc6700 flashed to wm6 msl problem
Yes, always start with a stock ROM to activate the phone, THEN upgrade afterwards.

Re: ppc6700 flashed to wm6 msl problem
I have tried to go back to the older original rom but I keep getting an Country ID Error. I have posted this problem and over 100 people have looked at it but no one will reply. As far as I know this phone was sold here new in the U.S. and I am using it here in ohio, why the error code?

are you sure you have the right MSL code. Use CDMA_workshop to read the SPC to be sure.
