Area Code Location in Dialer

I'm cooking my first WM6.1 rom and everything went smoothly. Chose the HTC Vogue Dialer like i had in my previous WM6 rom. But my dialer doesnt display the state that the area code belongs to anymore when i dial a number. Do i have the wrong dialer or is there something else specific i need to make sure i have?

Open Contacts > Menu > Options then change your area code.

You had a dialer that would do that??
None of mine ever have with a PPC phone. Only my regular cellphone does it.
I'd reflash my phone in a heartbeat if this was something that just needed a different dialer.

Re: Area Code Location in Dialer

The stock WM6.1 did it... I believe most other sprint phones do it as well.

There is a registry folder that matches all the area codes to states.

My mistake, I was thinking he was looking for the default area code, not a area code state cross reference.

Wow- that must be a neat trick. Almost 300 area codes used in the US. I can't do the math. I thought it was a lot more, but apparently we've used less than half of the codes available.

Do any of the kitchen options have this working? I'm about ready to reflash cuz I want to try some new stuff (Ultimate Launcher, particularly).

Re: Area Code Location in Dialer

I have this working on my phone. Is it something that is included with the smartdial feature? I have that and the iBliss dialer, but it was also on my phone when I just had the smart dialer enabled.
