BuildOS Question

Can someone tell me what the "Rev" drop down box in build OS is for?....I am guessing that this field is for choosing the boot loader version of the device? If so, then how can i tell which version of the boot loader my device has? Also, what is the "RUU" drop down for?
thanks!

Re: BuildOS Question

Check for your boot loader version. To do this you simply Press the power button, the record button and the reset button at the same time. You will notice that the screen gets dark. If you take a small light or flashlight and look at the screen you will be able to see the word USB at the top of the screen. At the bottom of the screen you will see the version number. Example: 2.02, 1.02, 2.04 or 1.04. You will need to make a note of which version you have so that you can select it during the build process. To exit boot loader hit the reset button only.

I used the Standard RUU.

Re: BuildOS Question

The REV (bootloader version) field determines build parameters and which RUU to use to flash your device. If you pick the wrong version, most of the time you'll just get the wrong ruu and be unable to flash your phone. It is possible that much worse things can happen by picking the wrong version, but so far we have yet to run across a problem that couldn't be recoverred from.
