Verizon 6700 on Metro pcs??

I just happen to be in Las Vegas at the moment. After a lot of run-around, I actuallyl talked to the Vice President of MetroPCS for the Las Vegas area.

He said they can't do the Metro Flash here in Las Vegas and then rambled on about something about "AWS-CDMA" blah blah blah.

If your parents have a store here - perhaps they know differenlty? Because if they CAN do it, I'd be more than happy to swing by and pay to hook up 2 or 3 6700's on MetroPCS.

I've been to a metro store in Bakersfield, CA. and yes. they have the ppc-6700 in the list for flashed phones.. and i was told to bring one and they will flash it for me... in the list, it was under ((UTStarCom)), not ((Audiovox)). i don't know if there is any difference. the problem,, i sold my ppc-6700, i wish i still have it.

guys i had my xv6700 working with metro since dec2007 until a few weeks ago i replaced to a xv6800. if you are planning to buy a xv6700, spend a few more bucks and get a 6800. it's a little smaller, and the GPS works great on metro. PM me if you have a question., But yes it works on metro.,

i was wondering if metropcs could flash the ppc 6700 then would i get mms and web?

I've heard from my parents, who are MetroPCS distributors, that the metroWeb and SMS don't work on the xv6700. Some kind of legal issue from Houdini (flashing vendor) in allowing the use of web and text messaging.

Hopefully, that'll be resolved soon. I'm jumping on as soon as that's done.

Anybody have any experience on this?

Well. I do know that Metro PCS can flash them, but you can only us ethem as phones.... can't use them on their internet services. basically, if you flash them at the store you can't get on the 'net without the WiFi. Unless u find someone who can let you on the metro service through back door means

just curious if anyone has accomplished this i used the site in post 17 but i did it exactly as stated and is till unable to make a call. keeps say LA01 yo7ur call cannot be completed at this time. only part that was vague was the Akey creation anyone accomplish this yet?
