Takes soooo long to reboot!
I just reflashed today in hopes of alleviating my LOOOONG bootup time, but no luck so far. When I was booting before the flash, I timed it at around 2 minutes for a standard soft reset. I'm still waiting after about 5 minutes for my new rom to boot, but it is after a hard reset so I'll give it a little time.
But, why might it take over 2 minutes for a soft reset? edit: I gave up on waiting for the new rom to boot after about 8 minutes and reflashed. I have made about as basic a rom as can be but it refuses to boot. I was using the 19213 rom today, but i am in the process of flashing a 19716 again to see if it'll actually boot. In countless flashes that I've done, this is the first time I've had a problem... |
Re: Takes soooo long to reboot!
Try disabling HTC Home then rebooting. I used to have slow reboots with HTC Home.

Re: Takes soooo long to reboot!
check what you have at startup; the more programs that start at startup, the longer booting time has been my experience

Re: Takes soooo long to reboot!
Ahhh, got stuck in the bootloader, but finally managed to get the 19716 rom going again. I don't know what I changed, but it's MUCH faster now, taking maybe ~30-45 seconds for a reset. I also put in the HTC Performance app, and the whole phone seems quite a bit more responsive now.
