WM5/WM6.1 Hybrid???
 

Is it possible to take the OEM WM5 ROM for the Sprint Apache and also the 6.1 ROM from the kitchen and create a hybrid of sorts?

I would personally like to see this:

WM5
OEM Sprint Touch Look(dialer, comm manager, home plugin... etc)
WM6.1 Threaded SMS

Does anyone know if this could be remotely possible? If it is possible, is anyone here up to the task?

As far as apps go, stripped down with lots of games will do. I can install other apps later.

This should take care of the memory leak problems of WM6/6.1 and still have the look and feel of WM6/6.1

For the person who creates this, I would be eternally grateful.

Threaded SMS is integral to 6.1, so you're not likely to get it seperated. PPCGeeks_OEM + someone else's threaded SMS w/ a WM5 kitchen will get you about as close as you're going to come. I have no idea if any of the apps you listed require WM6, or if .Net3.5CF is WM5 friendly (which you'll need for a lot of current apps).
