text message issue with 6.1

i am having a problem with my text messaging with the 6.1 kitchen. I will recieve a text message the phone says that i have a text message i get my text message notification but my text message inbox is empty. a soft reset will not fix it. i can clear text messages and it goes away but i never see the message

Reflash your ROM and see if that helps. I never have had that problem but the Chat style Text is driving me nuts!

i reflashed my phone and it is still doing the same thing
