please help with splashscreen setup in Kitchen
Using the Apache Kitchen CE OS 5.2.1908 (Helmi's), what is the Boot Splash and Main Splash (at what point do these come up on the device)? Anyway, I prepared a .nb file and copied it into the SplashImages/QVGA folder; it showed up as a choice in the drop-down menu for the Boot Splash screen but did not show up in the Main Splash menu. When cooking, it gave me an error: "Splash image 2: xxx.nb not found for 240x320; using default splash image". What's going on??

Bootsplash: the fist image you see after pressing the reset button.
MainSplah: WidowsMobile splash screen, shown while WM is booting. No need to make .nb file, you can use any graphic format recognized by Windows for Boot Splash. For MainSplash, you must use .png format. Not sure why you are getting an error, will try to replicate. |
Re: please help with splashscreen setup in Kitchen
Excellent - thanks so much for the info. I'll try png format (I assume I can create this myself, from PhotoShop, and don't need to use some special utility, right?).
Thanks, Mike |

Yes. just use any program that can create a PNG (including photoshop) and that should work fine.
