Color Icons and the New Build Process

I noticed that with the new build we can choose the default icons for the Home screen or color icons. I tried to take a page from the color icons and create my own OEM that would have my choices for color icons but the Today screen comes up blank when I flash my 6700 with this OEM. Not sure why this is happening and thought maybe it was the order in which the OEMs were installed.

It seems the color icons in the build are listed right after the Today plugin in my selections file. When I choose my personal icons OEM its listed last, since I guess the USER_OEM folder is processed last.

Any ideas would be helpful to resolve this.

Thanks,
Steve

Re: Color Icons and the New Build Process

Ok more info so someone might be able to point me in the right direction. I thought maybe my personal OEM was causing issues but I just did a build with my personal OEM, and I selected the Home plugin and my color icon OEM....no avail. The Today area comes up blank. Attached is the selections.txt file for this build along with log from the build itself.

Re: Color Icons and the New Build Process

Everything looks like it should work. Can you zip up your OEM and upload it please? Only way I can really test. Also, double check to make sure the names of the images all match.

Here you go. Thanks again for looking into this. It has me stumped. I thought maybe my personal OEM was causing issues but I eliminated it from a build and no go.

Re: Color Icons and the New Build Process

Have you checked \Windows to be sure the files at least make it into the rom? From your build log, it looks like they should.

Re: Color Icons and the New Build Process

I just finished a build and can confirm that the files do make it to the \Windows directory. This is very strange.

Any luck testing my OEM?

Re: Color Icons and the New Build Process

Probably wont get to it til later when I get home.

Feel free to jump in the chat room.

Also, double check your rev settings and such. Looks like this person had a similar problem.

After alot of trial and lots of errors I finally figured it out. What a person should do when trying to compile a personal color icon OEM is take the default icons first and then layer over their personal choices into one OEM. I was missing the original icons, which caused the today screen to be blank.

Thanks for your help Colonel!

Steve
