Camera for MMS

When I try to send a video message I cannot select the camera as a source, just files. I searched and found a couple references to this, but no fix. I cooked the rom using Helmis build OS (11/03/07). The camera works in general, including video, but not for MMS.

What am a Missing here? Do I need a different Rom version (or, even better, is there a fix that does not involve re-flashing...which I am getting just a little tired of doing).

I think it depends on what MMS. The older one can't send direct from Camera as source. I THINK. (Don't hold me to that). The newer MMS can, but I'd hold off since the newer MMS toasted my phone by not letting me answer calls. (LOL).

Hmmm... well, that is kind of an important function of the phone.

It looks like the version installed with the kitchen is 3.0.26.11c. I have a version that I downloaded from another source that is 3.0.26.12c. Does anybody know if there is any difference there? There were a bunch of folks who claimed it was working well. IF I wanted to try it would I have to re-flash the phone to get rid of what is already there (it installed as an OEM from the kitchen) or can I just install the new CAB???

From what I understand, you can't install MMS with a CAB.
The version that torched my phone was: 4.2.8.1

I have version 4.2.8.1 installed on my phone and haven't had any issues with it yet. I don't get many calls or make many, but no problems so far.
