HTC Home - Where is it?

Ok, now that the webpage is back up and running, I tried to see if there was an update or something, that would address the issues I and apparently, a couple other people are having. I install HHC, and it then connects to the Web, and installs HTC Home. Problem: I can't ever see the evidence, other than it being listed in my today screen plugin list.
Where is it? Did I miss something?

Re: HTC Home - Where is it?

Yeah I had that problem with HHC

Best thing to do is download the cab file for HTC Home version 2.1xxx or whatever the newest version..
Obviously you already have the cab for HHC..

Uninstall both HHC and HTC Home.

The install the HTC Home cab. Soft Reset.

Then install HHC.

It also seemed to give me errors when I included the Home plugin into rom.

It hasnt given me any errors in some time now with it setup like that. Also install both on the device.

Re: HTC Home - Where is it?

Can you post the link to that cab, or is it from the HHC site?
Thanks..

Re: HTC Home - Where is it?

Here is the exact cab from my computer that I use.

Hope that works.

Also after you uninstall everything make sure you go through and see that there is no folders left over or any registry entries that are left over also. Then try the reinstall.

Re: HTC Home - Where is it?

This was so strange..
I tried to install and for the life of me, it wouldn't show up. Now, it is cooked into the ROM, and showing up! Weird.. Maybe something that was cooked into the last ROM.. No clue, really.

BTW, the OEM you gave me, returned some nasty errors. Are you sure it had everything in it? It was missing some kind of file BuildOS said.
