Need some connection help.

I have read the threads for days and have tried to flash my rom from both an XP and Vista machine. The problem I am having is that when I connect to the computer, wait for it to recognize my Apache, as soon as I put it in bootloader, I loose the connection and the PPC shows "serial" instead of "USB".

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Kevin

You might be confusing windows by disconnecting it too fast when you put it into bootloader... (I mean the phone dinconnects from the pc when you put it into bootloder, not physically disconnecting the cable.)

I think what you actully want to do is to put the phone into bootloder mode and then connect the usb cable... My computer doesn't say anything when I connect the phone in bootloader mode. (maybe the 1st time, don't remember)

Don't even try vista though.... I couldn't get it to work.. tried compatability mode, run as administrator... stick w/ xp for flashing

I use 2.0 I don't know about 3.0 but you would think newer is better.

any way to get the stop message from the bluescreen? Usually doing a search on goole with the error code will give you some idea of what's causing it.
