Source code available for the Phone appl'n ?
 

I was wondering, given that people here (& elsewhere) are creating custom applications & even entire kitchens, is the 'Phone' just another application ?

If so,
- is it possible to install one Phone application instead of another ? (I've used BuildOS and selected different Dialer packages, but is that the same thing ? ie. does it include inbound calls as well ?)
- is there source code for whatever appln handles inbound calls available somewhere ?

Short answer...No.

Long answer...it's not just another application as it has hardware components associated with it. What you see in the kitchen is differnt skinds for the phone, not different phone apps. Even though we can make roms with all kinds of "stuff", there is extremely little source available for that "stuff".
