Exclamation New 4 gig minisd sdhc= cant see it

I just got the 4gig sandisk minisd.
How do you transfer your files/music to the
card? I have installed the sd777 cab and
able to it via phone, but unable to move
bulk data to the card.

My card reader doesnt see the card.

Thanks for any help in advance

Your card reader...as in the card reader on your PC? If that is the case you need to install a MS hotfix, KB923293. This will allow your PC to read SDHC cards.

I search the hotfix- I installed a new service pack
that was supposed to include the hotfix. Still not
working.

Thanks for the quick reply

See if this is installed on your PC. If not then install it. This worked for me. I assume you are running XP?

Well, Tried it on laptop and desktop with no luck. I tried
it on 2 different SD readers- no luck. I have no porblems
going back to the 2 gig miniSD so my assumption is its
the card.

I can "SEE" the storage card via phone, but my phone
times out and I loose the connection after about
2 minutes and I can only move a couple of files before a
reboot is necessary

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Yes one last idea. Your card should have come with a USB card reader. Plug that into a USB port and put your micro sd card in the SD adapter and see if your computer can read it. If it can then your card is ok. Next try formatting it in the reader. If that works then see if you can bulk move your music to it.

Steve,

Your last idea was on point. I went out and got a SD reader and lo/be hold - the card
and recognized as a hard drive! Dude, you rock! You have made my Christmas complete-

Thanks again!
