Backup ROM to minisd and Restore from minisd

I've been trying to get this to work. I got the intructions from this site... http://www.geekzone.co.nz/inane/1119

I put the phone into bootloader mode, and connect to my XP laptop via USB. I run MTTY and click on the USB button. I hit enter to get the USB> prompt.

I type "d2s 74100000 00a00000" without the quotes and hit enter
My mtty screen looks just like the one in the instructions. I took the sdcard out of the phone and set it aside. To test whether it will restore from the SDCard or not, I burned a new ROM with 1 OEM removed to my phone and performed a hard reset. I then put the SDCard with the rom dump on it back in the phone, and put the phone into bootloader mode. I get the screen that says "PRESS POWER TO FLASH". I press power, it says its flashing. It finishes and says it completed succussfully. However, after a hard reset, the ROM that I backed up to the SDCard is not the ROM that is running on the phone, it has the one that I burned to the phone with the 1 OEM Removed.

Has anybody ever tried this and got it to work successfully?

This is very interesting. If someone can verify that this works, it would be awesome.
I flashed my friend Axim, and was jealous that they get to flash from the sd card.

I tried to do the same thing back when I started playing with Helmi_c's ROM. I had a spare minisd and dumped the ROM, but could NEVER get it to restore. Luckily, I had the other ROM installers so I could go backwards, but it sure didn't seem to work the way I expected either!
