Is this specific to the 6700 or would it work on the 6800 as well?

I just installed it on my 6800 and it has the option in there to overclock. I turned it on, I have no Idea if it is actually doing anything though. It does appear to be a little faster/more responsive. That could just be my imagination too lol...

Not to be (too) flippant, but I think that was schettj's point in the first post of this thread.

LOL...yeah I was posting from my phone and didn't read the previous posts prior, but I should have clarified that this app appears to use less battery life than similar products such as xcpuscalar. XCPUscalar would have to compete with the internal clocking mechanism therefore using even more battery power even if you underclocked.
Some more observations:

1. Do not notice a greater drain of battery in standby mode
2. No sound warping issues like with xcpuscalar when overclocking to 624
3. No stability issues and running 624 just fine with several programs opened and tested

I've been running it on 624 for about a week... haven't noticed any difference in battery usage. Have noticed a significant increase in program switching speed. Can't comment on the resetting every two days thing yet as I've cooked my rom about 8 times in the last 4 days! :)

Been running at 624 all week looks good so far.

So I have the .CAB installed, where can i find the app to launch it. I looked in start>programs. Any suggestions?

Settings -> System ->

It also appears the over clocking works whilst charging, which I don't think XCPUscalar was capable of.

Anyway to see this speed increase in a program? I can use TCPMP and look under options/settings/general and it would give a speed reading(maybe a bit off but close)... With PHM OC'd to 520 while playing a vid TCPMP would read the speed increase, with htc performance OC'd to 520 TCPMP still showed 420(aka 416 stock)... And the video still ran choppy... Any ideas?

schettj 11-13-2007 10:01 AM

spb benchmark should show a difference...

schettj 11-13-2007 10:36 AM

Ok SPB Benchmark results for just cpu speeds

Native 416mhz:
Whetstones MFlop 5207ms
Whetstones MOPS 1600ms
Whetstones MWIPS 10309ms

Performance 520mhz:
Whetstones MFlop 5195ms
Whetstones MOPS 1588ms
Whetstones MWIPS 10361ms

Performance 624mhz:
Whetstones MFlop 5208ms
Whetstones MOPS 1585ms
Whetstones MWIPS 10332ms

So... weird. Will play with this some more and figure out what's going on - possibly its all in my head ;)
