Yes unfortunately that game is abandonware and the author shut down the server which facilitated online game play. That's why you're getting that error.
The game should work fine as long as you don't try to enable multiplayer mode. If it's somehow stuck in that mode you may need to do a hard reset. |

** Just did a hard reset to see the options - everything was fine at default level set to play local and not web (multiplayer). Played a new game and a minute later the same error came up again. Is there a reg setting I could change ??? or do u know of anything else that might solve this? TIA! Thanks again for your help with this and the new kitchen. Regards. We might be able to use Pocket Hosts to set it to access an alternate location, but setting up the alternate location so that the app won't crash could be difficult.

Actually I may have caused this inadvertantly... those of you having problems please download the cab from here:
http://www.archive.org/details/tucow..._Iliescu_Chess Install it and see if the problem goes away. Thanks |

when installing, an popup came up stating I needed "netcf.core.ppc3.arm.cab" installed before I install the game. I continued anyhow and it ran fine. FYI Thanks again ! |

That's an informational message only, stating that the application requires .NetCF. You probably already have it in your ROM.
