Which prj should I use when building a Generic ROM?

Hi, I am trying to build my first rom with the latest WM6 kitchen, but I am confused when I have to select a project file.

If I go with one of the available carriers, the choice should be obvious, but what happens when you try to make a "generic" ROM? Should I choose a any .prj file or is there something different that I should do?

Thanks for your answers (I've searched the forum but I can't find an answer to this)

Patrick

Yeah for a Generic ROM you can use:

Aliant
Cellular South
Movistar_Venezuela
Telus
Vivo_Brazil

as those all use the generic UTSI_001 string for carrier ID. Maybe I'll make one called Generic to make it obvious, but in the meantime, all of the prjs I listed above contain identical information.

One more question, and I hope it is the last for some time : )

If I am going to build a generic rom, should I choose one of those Operators in the BuildOS app or should I leave my selection blank and then choose the prjs you mentioned?

Thanks

For a generic ROM no you would not choose anything in the "Carrier Customize" section.

You should use the prj that matches the carrier that is printed on the front of your device.

It encodes the ROM with a special string that needs to match the one already encoded in your phone--otherwise the ROM Upgrade Utility will reject the ROM as being incorrect for your device.

it has nothing to do with the extrom.
