Bing Voice Recognition
On my TP2 I had a little microphone icon in Bing that I could press and it used voice recognition to do the search for me. I don't have that on my Telus HTC Surround. I know I can hold the Windows key to bring up TellMe, but the "find" command isn't recognized.
I have read that it's been limited to those phones with an English (United States) locale, so I've switched "Region Format", "System Locale" and "Browser and Search Language" to English (United States) with no change. I read that the Samsung Focus worked out-of-the-box for Rogers customers with voice searching. So...did Telus screw it's customers again or is there another setting I'm missing that'll activate voice search? |
Re: Bing Voice Recognition
If I press the search button from the home screen, at the right of my search bar is a microphone which when pressed activates voice search...don't know why yours isn't there...

Re: Bing Voice Recognition
Yeah, it was eventually added in for non-US. Initially it was only available for US locales.
