Verizon Spying

Who'd ever think that microsoft would be the champion of user privacy. The bad boys have turned out to be AT&T, Verizon, Google.

Does Microsoft Oppose Verizon Spying? Verizon allegedly wants more control over WP8

Re: Verizon Spying

um... it just says MS wants to stop Verizon from spying.... MS itself said nothing about stopping MS from spying on its users...

sounds like MS doesn't want to give up it's own spy game to someone else is all

Re: Verizon Spying

I've said before. The fears I had about MS spying and the big brother thing are nothing to the reality of Google's data mining operation. At least MS is up front about it.

Re: Verizon Spying

I wish every company would be held to the same scrutiny that Microsoft has always been under. It is downright scary how the rise of the Android OS is putting people's privacy at risk and most people are clueless.

Actually, truth be told Android is the safest OS there is in terms of privacy. The thing is on Android when you have access to the source code you know exactly what is going on and can remove it or just load up a custom rom like cm10. On an OS you have no source code to, you have no clue what it is doing in the background.

Now on the carrier spying issue, to be honest carriers have access to pretty much everything your doing anyways unless you encrypt the communications.
