Another What's the Diff ?. Apps, Mango vs NoDo?

Just asking for the sake of my own knowledge and I can't seem to find it on the net.

I've read a few things about Market place accepting Mango apps, the whole thing about wanting Developers to deliver Mango apps before updating the previous apps, etc. I know there's some major advancements in Mango like true multitasking and such.

So what's different between a Mango coded app and the same app coded for NoDo? Will a Mango App work on NoDo? I see references where the two are being referred to as v7(NoDo) and v7.5(Mango). Is this going to be another WM6.5 to MP7 upgrade?

Just curious.

Better scrolling and especially task switching apps. Resuming to a tombstoned app is more instant.

Yea, mango apps are better than NoDO...I tried paracute panic and it looks and plays 100% better...

Mango support 60fps now (over 30fps before) so games can be updated to run much smoother and I have seen and noticed a big difference.

OK, cool. Sounds like a major improvement then. So will NoDo WP7 apps still function on Mango 7.5 or will we have to look for the newer version app to replace it with once it's released in the coming weeks?

NoDo apps will still work on mango exactly the same way they do on NoDo currently and I've read that mango apps don't even show up in the NoDo marketplace.

98% of them will run fine but, you are correct, if your on Nodo, the apps will not even show up. Mango app support fast task switching as well (Multi tasking), so any app designed for mango will be able to be multi-tasked.

One app that does work perfect under Nodo but, does not run correctly under Mango is Twin Blades: The Reaping Vanguard, the game will load but, as soon as you start a game, it will exit. Confirmed problem by a lot of people.

That is the only app I could find with an issue tho...

Re: Another What's the Diff ?. Apps, Mango vs NoDo?

OK. Thanks for the info. As I've been saying from the start, I feel like I'm learning this stuff all over again and the past 10+ years mean nothing. I've gone from being the guy who could do anything with his Axim and TP2 to complete Noob almost overnight. It's like I've picked this thing up for the very first time.
