(thanks to this thread for the updated mirrors)

Noted as version from someone in the thread as Build number 7.10.7720.68

Confirmed as the FINAL RTM.

The thread with the post starting with this upload is here
xda-developers - View Single Post - Mango RTM 7720 released to MS employees!

Don't forget to hit the thanks button for posting this !

Edit: Installed it, it is the final 7.10.7720.68 on my HTC Trophy :)

Edit 2: I want to clear this up for people, as I see everyone asking this question an XDA all the time.

This is a RTM Version, NOT a tweaked carrier/OEM version, this is release to manufacture The 7720.68 version is the final version of mango. This is Microsoft's final version of Mango, not your OEM/carrer's. It will not have your carrier/OEM tweaks (this includes Hidden Wi-FI and 50fps display).

You should upgrade to your OEM/Carrier's version when it is released if you want the fully tweaked (with the correct drivers, software and firmware for your phone) Mango version when it is released.

Rumor is...(DO not quote me on this), the 7720.68 version (that we are installing here) will take the OEM/carrer release as a upgrade. It's understood that Microsoft is installing this version on employee devices, they would not go though the hassle of backing up/restoring everyone in the companys phone. I would still make sure you have a NoDo backup somewhere, backedup again, just in case.

So, if your worried about this being a Beta, it's not, all Mango features are finalized but, it's just not tweaked, so it's not the the final release for your phone.

Understand ?

I'd rather wait for it. its not going to provide any more functionality than the betas because it still isn't released and the marketplace isn't accepting mango apps yet.

I'll probably install it on mine once it finishes downloading. I always like having the most current/stable release. But Eric is right... until the Marketplace begins accepting the "Designed for Mango" app updates, there isn't much point in updating from the RC.

Sorry, to each their own. After using mango, I just can't go back to nodo... It really is that much better. It is the final what you will see in devices come fall so , upgrade now or deal with the carrier BS later..

Your call, I updated, loading some apps seem faster but, nothing major noted besides the "not for resale" not showing up on boot but, it should not be much more than your getting with 7712.

If you were on the fence and you really want it, this is the one you want. I still have to go back to NoDo, as upgrading to 7712 killed my sideloading and I have to fix it.

Mango final+Unlimited sideloading=My perfect phone, tons of awsome homebrew apps out there to play with.

Oh, I upgraded... and from NoDo, it's a MUST. I just meant that there's no real reason to rush if you're already running 7712. Official, sure, but I have a hard time believing that .68 is the final 7720 build considering I still don't see the promised "hidden wifi" feature... unless it's just not "obvious".

7720 is the final build, 7720.xxxx (the xxxx is carrer/oem versions) like the HTC MAZZZA is 7720.500 and there is a 7720.520 floating around. 7720 is the base software that all 7720 will have but, there will be carrier/OEM customizations/drivers for each device and that will be updated for different versions.

So, what I trying to say is, 7720 is 7720...and will be on all devices.

With that being said, you should take a NoDo backup of your phone, there might be an actual firmware/radio update that the carrier releases with mango.

Also it made me wonder...if 7720.68 is what we have and your carrier releases...say, for example, 7720.597 wouldn't that be an upgrade (as 597 is higher than 68 )and you phone take it as a upgrade ? Microsoft is deploying this version to internal phones, so, would they install this on everyone's phone if they had to restore everyone's phone to NoDo in the company so they can get the carrier upgrade ? Sounds dumb if they are and logical if they are not.

That's just my thoughts....

I guess I'll give it a shot. I thought the reports were that 7720 did have Hidden Wi-Fi in them and now we're all talking like it's not there. I'm curious to find out if it really is. I'm trying to pair this Arrive with a Touch Pro 2 via Wi-Fi and don't believe I'll be able to till this feature is a reality.

Wirelessly posted (WP7 Beta Tester: Opera/9.70 (Windows NT 5.1; U; en) TMO-US_LEO)

does mango support ad hoc? my hidden wifi works after the 7392 update (don't laugh, I'm still on no do), but wouldn't find my tp2.
