They have been saying that all the time. Some manufacturers will make them hidden so you can't access it.

At least you can swap them. With your live account connected to your phone, you should not have to worry about your apps, so, it would be minor backups to swap cards.

I think it will suck because I will swap 16gb cards on mine now, one for apps/navi/movies and the other for Music, I can't do that any more.

It would be nice when the 32/64gb cards come out, at least you can possably put them in your phone...

32 gbyte cards are out now for less than $100 US. If and when Verizon carries the WinPhone7 phone, I'll start with the lowest memory card I can buy and put the 32 in before I do anything else. Am I right or will this not work?

At this point it doesn't really make much difference. I was reading on wmpoweruser that some devices have their sd card slots locked by various methods (screws, tabs, hooks) anyway. Added on top of the fact that microsoft is supporting swappable sd cards at the moment and i say their shooting themselves in the foot. For one, some devices need hard resets after replacing cards and some devices start to mess up afterwards? Even if someone actually does get it to work flawlessly, there are still void stickers over the card doors/slots. So basically you have to void your warranty to use something built into the hardware that you paid for.
