WP7S: XBox Live Games
So the new Windows Phone 7 Series will support Xbox LIVE games..
Does that mean all 1676 games? How will they go from a button-heavy-controller to a buttonless phone? I'm not even a gammer (we have a Wii for the kids), but I can see how a rich game marketplace will be attractive and really give the WP7 the boost it needs to get going quickly.. -Matthew |
Re: WP7S: XBox Live Games
I dunno about 1676 games, especially since like you said, several if not most will utilize a lot of the controller. I'm expecting more basic games like card or board games to be available on the phone that integrate back to xbox live, hopefully to be able to play with people on the Xbox, I know one of the more popular XBLA games is Uno and that would be easy to do on a phone, or poker, or board games, whatever I just hope there is heavy integration there.

Re: WP7S: XBox Live Games
The Zune HD SDK (XNA) allows for xbox live play, at least has the objects.
If WP7 SDK is similar to Zune HD (which it should be) we're looking at a new era of phone gaming. The down side... Zune HD SDK doesn't support 3D objects in XNA, it was removed. Hopefully Microsoft gets those pieces in soon. |

In order to accept input from the Xbox360 wireless controller, the phone would have to be able to use a 2.4Ghz freq
I'm happy actually just knowing these phones will come with an HD radio tuner, at least the 7series that I'm getting :) |
