adobe confirms no flash initially with wm7

http://wmpoweruser.com/?p=13295

"Microsoft and Adobe are working closely together. While the newest version of Windows Phone won’t support Flash at initial availability, both companies are working to include a browser plug-in for the full Flash player in future versions of Windows Phone. More details will be shared at Microsoft MIX next month".

This confuses me, i thought the os wasnt finished yet. Are they saying it will be implemented later in the development process or by future versions they mean its done and it will be included via ota updates a la webos or android?

Edit:I wanted to put this in the news forum but i dont have sufficient privileges, my apologies.

Flash is a resource hog, requiring rediculous processing, battery, etc. It's based on out-dated technology. Apple has ruled it out of their iPhone OS. Apparently MS is still trying to work it in.

I thought the version everyone plans on using was 10.1? I thought it was supposed to be optimized for mobile devices and not be such a resource hog?
Plus is there any better technology that's used on such a wide scale as flash? Like every website uses it to some extent.Sure we can have certain websites optimized for webkit browsers like the iphone, but i figured apple didnt want flash because of the abundance of free flash based internet games. Makes sense being that it would cut into the app store's profit.

I wonder how long it takes to create a new version of flash ? Come on Adobe, There is at least 8-9 months for you to work on it.

Never mind that the web is not the web with out flash....
